Re: using webe 4G network with band 5 LTE device

Hi Batman,

I read in this blog:
http://www.soyacincau.com/2016/12/08/webe-is-focused-on-building-a-high-capacity-network-in-2017/

TM is planning to roll out Band 40 (2300mhz) TD-LTE for consumers. In the post, It say starting Q1 2017. Is there any area that currently available with this Band 40 network?

Just another tips to all webe user.

It is best to buy phone that support Band 5 (850mhz) & Band 40 (2300mhz) if you're planning to use the phone for long term period.

You can check any phone LTE band support on:

When will Webe utilise higher band in Kelantan? The speed is not stable on band 5.

simple way to check is to go to the phone manufacturer website or just go to GSMArena.com to see whether the phone supports Band 5 LTE

If yes, then regardless its updated or not in webe website; the phone should work as adversite.

Btw Xiaomi A1 does support webe 4G (Band 5 850Mhz)

Re: using unifi mobile's 4G network with band 5 LTE device

I just want to share. If anyone have problems with their phone not connecting to Unifi/Webe 4G LTE network, despite their area included in Unifi/Webe 4G coverage, and their phone support LTE Band 5 (850Mhz) network, try this solution:

For Dual Sim Phone or Multi Sim Phone

1. Go to phone "Setting"

2. Go to "Manage Sim" or "Sim Setting"

3. Click on "Unifi" or "Webe" sim

4. Click on "Prefered Network"

5. Choose "3G" or "2G"

6. Then change back to "4G LTE" or "LTE"

For Single Sim Phone

1. Go to phone "Setting"

2. Go to "Mobile Network"

3. Click on "Prefered Network"

4. Choose "3G" or "2G"

5. Then change back to "4G LTE" or "LTE"

You may need to keep going back and forth between those bands connectivity until your phone recognize Unifi/Webe 4G network.

It works for me on the second attempt on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. This is probably because the phone or sim is set to connect to 3G network by default. But after doing the above method, my phone is able to receive 4G LTE network with no problems whatsoever. But if you still cannot connect to Unifi/Webe 4G LTE network after your 10th attempt, maybe there is other problems.
