Re: Upcoming channels

Starting 1st October 2021, 9 Fox channels will be ceased around Asia (except National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Star Chinese Movies and Star Chinese channel), more new channels should come to Unifi TV at that time.

Regarding this issue, I have contacted Aniplus Asia team via Messenger. Here's their reply in quotation!

"We appreciate your kind support and will relay this message to the team for their evaluation/consideration. It may also help if you could drop a message to your service provider so that we can reach more people Smiley Happy"

So, we need to play the part by messaging Unifi TV team via social media and telling them that we would be delighted to see Aniplus to be carried as Unifi TV's channels line-up. Also, I hope Unifi TV can also bring-in Lifetime HD and Disney channels. 👍😃

This might happen soon in 1st October 2021 due to cessation of National Geographic People HD as Lifetime channel is the right choice to replace this channel, but depends on Unifi TV's decision.

Re: Upcoming channels

Yup. That's right! These 11 channels are costing 50-60% of Unifi TV's content right budget. Ceasing them will allow Unifi TV to secure more channels like Lifetime HD, AXN HD, Cartoon Network HD and even make a cross-carriage deal with Astro since both are suffering from this change.

Unifi TV can launch Paramount Network HD, Blue Ant Entertainment HD, Blue Ant Extreme HD, NOW Jelli, SCM on Astro, while Astro can launch AXN HD, Cartoon Network HD, and even HBO channels and TVB channels. But that still depends on both sides. 😃

I thought astro still holds exclusive contract for AXN HD, it's now non-exclusive?

Disney Junior and Disney Channel HD will be cease transmission in 1st October 2021 with the Fox channels, so no hope.

Re: Upcoming channels

Without Disney+ Hotstar, Unifi TV needs to find another way to replace cessation channels that will be going on in 1st October 2021, or else customers will be very mad.

Re: Upcoming channels

@YeeHoubackup, that's not true! Unifi TV still has the exclusive right for Travel Channel, BBC Lifestyle, Earth and Cbeebies for the next few years. In fact, Astro isn't interested in BBC channels due to viewers' interest.
